Маленький и весьма полезный такой скриптик для тех, кто регулярно качает что-то с iFolder 
Автоматически переходит на страницу с таймером (открывая лишь сам фрэйм с таймером), а затем, когда таймер доходит до нуля, открывает страницу с капчей, хоть её и приходится вводить вручную, все равно очень удобный скриптик. 
When first download page is opened, it navigates browser to first advertisement proposed. Then it does replace frameset by only timer frame, hiding advert and making it count time from the moment advert loading started (by refreshing it, nice feature).
After timer counts down to zero, automagically navigates (refreshes) to CAPTCHA. Unfortunately, it can’t type it for you. But it installs click-handler on the image, so you can easily change it by clicking on the picture. On final download page, it also emphasizes the download link.
May be especially useful when opening many downloads in tabs.
And they say it’s hard to conquer the browser market. Despite Microsoft’s global domination, there are some places where FirefoxFirefox reviewsFirefox reviews is a vastly dominant browser. One of them is Antarctica; according to StatCounter’s recently added feature, GlobalStats, in 2009, only one browser was used there.
I’m guessing the data comes from one user - and he’s using Firefox.

Add-Ons
- oldbar - Oldbar makes the location (URL) bar look like Firefox 2. If you need another alternative to this, try out Old Location Bar. Why two add-ons that do the same thing? I don’t know either.
- Hide Unvisited - You too can hide pages (bookmarks) that you haven’t visited (since deleting or clearing history) from showing in the AwesomeBar.
- Enter Selects - This Extension allows you to press enter in the AwesomeBar to select the first result (without pressing down).
- Hidden Places - Stop URLs from specified domains being added to places and the AwesomeBar.
- Edit Middle - Show AwesomeBar results when editing in the middle (not just at the end).

Компания Mozilla разработала технологию TraceMonkey, позволяющую в несколько раз увеличить скорость работы JavaScript и веб-приложений при использовании браузера Firefox, сообщается в блоге разработчиков Mozilla.
TraceMonkey уже включена в альфа-версию браузера Firefox 3.1. Однако по умолчанию технология TraceMonkey не доступна, так как еще не полностью отлажена и работает нестабильно. В будущем TraceMonkey станет частью бразуера Firefox, что позволит значительно ускорить его работу.
В частности, в ряде тестов Firefox 3.1 с TraceMonkey работает с JavaScript почти в 40 раз быстрее, нежели Firefox 3. Также тесты показали, что TraceMonkey делает новый браузер Firefox более чем в два раза быстрее Apple Safari при работе с JavaScript.
Ожидается, что TraceMonkey позволит значительно ускорить работу браузера со сложными специализированными веб-приложениями. В частности, было продемонстрировано, что TraceMonkey делает обработку изображений через веб-интерфейс более быстрой.
В настоящее время альфа-версия браузера Firefox 3.1 доступна для скачивания на сайте Mozilla. Разработка TraceMonkey заняла у Mozilla около двух месяцев.

В честь выхода даже сайт обновили! 
Долго не мог понять, почему Firefox виснет или вообще crash-иться, когда я пытался зайти на Gmail с работы.. Сначала думал, что это из-за того что все на работе сидят тоже в интернете и сжирают трафик, т.к. под вечер, когда никого практически нет, Gmail еще более менее шустро грузился, да и из дома тоже нормально заходил…
А сегодня решил таки поискать в чем же все таки проблема на самом деле, ведь у Gmail-а врядли такие уж слабенькие серваки, что надо супер-дупер быстрое подключение, чтобы без проблем заходить. Среди большого количества постов на эту тему, ответом стал вот этот вот вопрос и комментарии к нему.
Оказалось, что дело все в Add-On-ах, нужных мне для работы (duh!)… По поводу Firebug-а, что он замедляет Gmail, знал уже давно - в Gmail-е есть детектор включенного Firebug-a, который собственно и сообщает, что Firebug лучше отключить. Кроме Firebug-a, отключить (или заблокировать для “mail.google.com”) стоит HTML Validator и Web Developer.. Короче, все что обрабатывает source код стоит отключить или заблокировать, но не исключенно, что и другие какие-то Add-On-ы тоже “не дружат” с Gmail-ом…
В "Safe Mode" с отключенными всеми Add-On-ами практически моментально загружаеться.
Правда, это полностью не исправило проблему и все равно время от времени Firefox зависает, когда захожу на Gmail… Приходиться использовать “Basic HTML”…

Будем надеяться, что с выпуском Firefox 3, который кстати состоится 17-го Июня, Gmail-ом можно будет нормально пользоваться… Хотя, думаю, что можно будет, т.к. наверно больше половины Add-On-ов еще не обновлены для третьей версией.. </p>
Да, кстати если надо, то Firefox 3 Release Candidate 3 можно уже скачать.. О переходе на Opera я уже даже и не думаю, т.к. недавно выпущенная Opera 9.50, хоть и быстрей и даже слегка “умней” в отношении отображения сайтов, стала уродской какой-то… |
Google, фубл%! Wtf?
Быть может, заметили, что Google сменили свой favicon с привычного (и мною любимого) “G” на какую-то гадость с грязно-серым градиентом.. Что такое favicon? Ну йопт.. иконка маленькая в адресной строке, рядом с адресом, и в табах.. Вообщем, нашолся добрый человек, который написал скриптик для Greasemonkey, который возвращает старый favicon:
Ух, шайтан! Шустрый он какой стал! Правда, пока что, большинство add-on-ов, которыми я пользуюсь, не поддерживаются*, но думаю с этим офф. выпуском, разработчики add-on должны зашевелится и обновить свои творения для FF3.

З.Ы.: Если устанавливать в другую папку, то можно иметь обе версии, но они будут "драться" из-за cookies-ов, т.е. все "запомненные" логины пропадут, если открыть сначала FF3, а потом FF2 (и наоборот), но bookmark-и и (старые) настройки, судя по всему, или копируются или просто хранятся в одном месте.

* Add-On-ы можно “заставить” работать (на свой страх и риск, как говорится), создав в about:config две новые переменные extensions.checkCompatibility и extensions.checkUpdateSecurity со значением “false” у обеих, или установив дополнительный add-on Nightly Tester Tools, который “заставит” их за вас 
Updated: опять что-то там поменялось. Обновил CSS.
Буквально на днях в Gmail-е произошли небольшие изменения - появились новые и обновились старые функции, но вместе с этими изменениями поменялся и исходный код страниц, поэтому различные персональные “улучшения”, такие как например Уберание жирной ссылки Spam(XXX) или Better Gmail Add-On, или перестали работать или стали “глючить”.
Так как мне очень нравился тот факт, что кол-во спама в ящике не видно и эта ссылка не мазолит глаза, обновил CSS для GMail - Hide Bold Spam Count:

YouTube has formally announced that it started to re-encode its videos in higher quality. “You may have noticed that we’re now giving you the option of watching some YouTube videos in higher quality. We’re making these streams available on certain videos, based upon the source file uploaded to us, and over time you’ll find a greater percentage of the library is available to view in higher quality.”
Now you can choose the higher quality as a default option by going to your YouTube account settings and changing the video playback quality to “I have a fast connection. Always play higher-quality video when it’s available.
The new setting is equivalent to appending &fmt=6 to the URL and you get 448 x 336 FLV1 videos with audio encoded at a sample rate of 44100 Hz, up from 320 x 240 FLV1 videos with audio encoded at 22050 Hz.

Как это, увы частно, бывает с такими сайтами, как globalPandora.com, дизайн у них или гамно весьма поверхностный или просто оставляет желать лучшего.
Убрал все не нужное, отцентрировал по вертикали, ну и “логотип” сделал “пологотипней”

Само собой для всего этого понадовится Stylish.
Вот за что Я так люблю Firefox так это за то, что владея познаниями в CSS, можно с легкостью видоизменять, как интерфейс самого Firefox-а, так и сайты, отображаемые в нём. Он даже по умолчанию идёт с Add-On-ом, который весьма облегчает эту задачу - DOM Inspector. Ну нравится мне настраивать и видоизменять всё и вся
